Welcome to NEWS from the Society for Wilderness Stewardship (SWS). The Board of Directors has recently added this feature to the website to improve communications with members and help keep you informed about progress towards achieving the mission and goals of the SWS. We intend to produce additional articles and post news related to SWS activities frequently to provide information and enhance the services and benefits of SWS for members. Contributions are welcome and should be sent to info@wildernessstewardship.org.

Remember, this is your professional wilderness stewardship organization. Please don't hesitate to contact us for more information on any SWS activity or to get involved through the SWS committees and work groups.

Wilderness Calendar

The Communications Committee also revised the website calendar to post 2012 wilderness related events and also to make it easier for anyone to add calendar entries. To view the calendar or post an event on the calendar, click on the About Us tab and then the Calendar tab. Or, send your event information to: info@wildernessstewardship.org.
Free Memberships

The Membership Committee recently developed a program to recognize wilderness volunteers and interns with free one year SWS memberships. To qualify volunteers and interns must contribute at least 8 weeks of full time equivalent work for wilderness stewardship. Wilderness Jobs

The Communications Committee recently revised the website to make it easy for anyone to post a job announcement for SWS members to view. To post a job click on the About Us tab and then the Jobs tab. Or, send your job information to: info@wildernessstewardship.org
