ECOLOGICAL CHANGE

The 2020 Vision for Wilderness Stewardship(an interagency document containing stewardship priorities for the National Wilderness Preservation System) highlights the need for cohesive, adaptive management in a time of ecological change:

"Prepare for ecological change.  Focus on the stewardship of dynamic landscapes through evaluating the role of wilderness in landscape scale conservation and ecosystem resiliency as climate change progresses."
