The Society often works closely with the agencies tasked with protecting, preserving, and managing the country's wild places. Recently, members of the Professional Advancement working committee partnered with the Bridger-Teton National Forest to help spread the word about wilderness, celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Wilderness Act, and demonstrate some primitive tool techniques at the Wilderness Camp event in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
